After the 911 attacks in 2001, terrorism brought severe impact to the entire world. At that time Hong Kong had already entered into economic recession. This pessimistic and negative wave of unrest brought distortion to many people. Frustration and accusation were prevalent and the entire city was plunged into a curse.

Centered on the Bible: Cultivation of an Appreciation Toward Life

In order to tackle against the pessimistic and negative wave of unrest, we hope to deliver a message of encouragement, a positive message on strengthening one another and to awaken disappointing and depressing hearts, all done through a movement called "My Passion for Life". Also, we hope to cultivate the citizens' appreciation toward life, as well as one that passionately loves life. We also hope to restore the fountain of praise in our midst.

Pause and Think: An Opportunity for Change

"My Passion for Life" campaign brought seven verses from the Bible and made them into seven commercials, to transmit a new way of culture through the media, leading everyone to "Pause and Think" and reflect upon the contents of the new way of culture. This was adopted by the Information Services Department of the government and was broadcast on television. In addition, the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) and Roadshow also provided a channel for broadcast. Furthermore, we designed posters from these seven messages and placed them in light boxes at different MTR stations and tram stations. The "My Passion for Life" series began its filming in April 2002. It was officially broadcast on the media on May 7 in the same year. We give thanks to God for He has spoken to our city. His word is the medicine that cures the soul and hearts of men.

In January of 2003, we filmed the eighth video entitled "Your Strength will Equal Your Days". It was about a young girl who joyfully lived her life despite suffering from her sight loss when she was three months old.

Two Grand Awards in Russia

"My Passion for Life" series was sent to participate in the "Golden Wolf Festival", a television advertisement competition in Russia. "My Passion for Life" series came out as the first in the "Social Service Award". The series was also broadcast on the Russian national television for some time and was granted the "Most Popular Award". The word of God touched the hearts of many people.

Bless and do not curse

For those who are easily angered, may they become more patient toward one another.

A cord of three strands is not quickly broken

When faced with difficulties, no longer is one fighting alone, but with unity comes strength.

The hearts of the fathers turn to their children

The father no longer only spends time working, but returns with a repentant heart to heal the brokenness brought to families caused by their absence.

Stimulate one another to love and good deeds

In self-despair and desperation, may they be able to face difficulties together with their family.

Be a good neighbor

When faced with crises, do not stand on the side and do nothing. On the contrary, help and support one another, so a crisis might be turned into an opportunity.

In quietness and confidence is your strength

To those who are in despair and failure, may they calm down and rearrange their lives for new opportunities.

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind

To those who are disappointed or helpless, may their minds be renewed so that they can encourage themselves to respond positively. This provides a way out for life.

Your strength will equal your days

In facing difficulties and desperate situations, why not proclaim "your strength will equal your days", because God will surely help me!

Standing Together Against SARS

The appearance of SARS in March of 2003 left the people of Hong Kong in a state of fear. People were depressed as the economy was in recession. People took whatever opportunity they had to vent their frustration. During prayer we were revealed the need to produce a film called "Blessing Hong Kong in Unity". Later on it was accepted as a promotional video to be broadcast on television.

The contents of the film included "Blessing Hong Kong in Unity", "Cleaning Hong Kong in Unity", "Helping One Another in Unity", "Cleansing Hong Kong in Unity", and "Rekindling Confidence in Unity." The film describes how doctors, nurses and cleaning workers selflessly gave themselves to serve the people of Hong Kong. It also encouraged every citizen of Hong Kong not to look down on themselves, but to offer what they had and help rebuild Hong Kong in the face of adversity. The release of this film series brought forth messages of "unity" and "blessings" and encouraged citizens to help one another.
