The prayer team of Jireh Fund held an overnight prayer meeting for the handover of Hong Kong to China, using Psalms 1 through 150 to bless the city. We also used Psalm 97 to proclaim that God is the King. |

The economy of Hong Kong experienced a sudden crash and the entire society was plunged into hardships and depression. This recession extended into the beginning of next year and it became worse. Many Christians wanted to pray for the economy and the social living of the city. Unfortunately, not every Christian knew about praying for such areas. The Lord therefore taught us an entirely new method of prayer: to use the Scripture as the content and basis of our prayer, to use the prayer handbooks as our focus and means of transmitting, and to use the prayer movement as a way of igniting the passion of praying hearts. |
