Publication of the First Prayer HandbookIn our newly published prayer handbook, God moved us to ask for "economic restructuring" in both the industrial and commercial sectors of Hong Kong. Even though we are not clear regarding what "economic restructuring" is all about, yet we have truly expressed it in our prayer according to what God has moved in our hearts. (In June 2003, the Lord moved the Beijing Government to lend a hand to Hong Kong by signing the CEPA agreement between Mainland China and Hong Kong on June 29. With the implementation of the CEPA enforced on the first day of 2004, many high value-added industries relocated to the Chinese mainland began to move their production activities back to Hong Kong, unleashing a host of opportunities for Hong Kong's manufacturing industry. Introduction to the Individual Travel Scheme also created opportunities for the retail, catering, airline and hotel sectors.) |

"May Peace be With You" 24-hour Overnight Prayer MeetingIn 1999, as the world prepared and awaited the advent of the year 2000, the "millennium bug" brought severe panic to the entire world as computers were in question of whether they could automatically make adjustments in their dating system. We held the "May Peace be With You" 24-hour overnight prayer meeting, and prayed for God's peace to come upon the advent of the new millennium. The Lord gave the following: "with the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day," (2 Pe. 3:8b) and led us to pray for God's kingdom to come upon the new millennium. |
